BookBar Live with Laura Bates
In 2012, Laura Bates began a Twitter account, @EverydaySexism, documenting experiences of sexism, harassment and assault to show how bad the problem is and create solidarity. Ten years on women are still the targets of violence, inequality and systemic injustice, blamed for walking home alone at night, for not demanding a seat at the table.
To mark ten years of the Everyday Sexism Project and her explosive new book: Fix The System, Laura Bates will be in conversation at BookBar, talking about whether sexual injustice has changed in the last decade, the systemic prejudice at the heart of five of our key institutions - Education, Politics, Media, Policing and Criminal justice - and how we can move forward.
Your ticket includes a hardback copy of Fix The System, Not The Women. You will be able to collect your book on the evening of the event.
