About the event
Booker Prize winner Eleanor Catton joins us at BookBar Islington for a rare, intimate event to celebrate BookBar's fifth birthday. We adored Eleanor's second novel Birnam Wood, so much that it was awarded our Book of the Year accolade in 2023. Since then, it has been a top recommendation from the team, and has also been loved by our BookClub members. It feels full-circle to celebrate our birthday with one of the BookBar greats joining us on the Blackstock Road. Get your ticket now to hear all about Eleanor's novels on Monday 1st June 2026 at BookBar Islington.
Eleanor will be joined in conversation by BookBar's founder, Chrissy Ryan.
The bar will open at 6:30pm with the conversation starting at 7:00pm.
