About the event

Published to celebrate the art of the short story, and Madrid’s Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize and London’s Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize, 22 Fictions is a curated selection of the best short stories written in English by up-and-coming writers. Join us at BookBar Islington on 19th August to hear from a selection of the anthology's accomplished writers, and discuss the art of the short story.

Hear BookBar's own Francesca Reece, author of Glass Houses and Voyeur; Danielle Giles, author of Mere; and Melody Razak, author of Moth, read from their acclaimed short stories, as well as from the collection's editor Kate Ellis.

The bar will open from 6:30pm with discussion and readings from 7pm.
