About the event
Sufiyaan Salam's debut novel Wimmy Road Boyz is highly-anticipated. He's the Winner of the 23/24 #Merky Books New Writers' Prize, an Observer Best New Novelist, and as of this summer, a Bafta-nominated, BIFA-winning screenwriter. We absolutely loved the riotous and playful quality of Sufiyaan's prose, and his memorable characters who we held on to long after finishing the book. This is a bold and striking story that everyone will be talking about this summer and we can't wait to hear more about it at our BookBar Islington shop.
Sufiyaan will be joined in conversation by another BookBar favourite, Gurnaik Johal. Gurnaik's expansive debut novel Saraswati about a mysterious, lost Indian river was a Book of the Month pick and a BookClub favourite.
