BookBar and Firmdale Hotels Present... an evening with Caleb Azumah Nelson
We'll be hosting Caleb Azumah Nelson, in partnership with The Charlotte Street Hotel, to discuss his new novel Small Worlds.
Set over three summers, we follow Stephen as he falls in love, leaves school and navigates the early days of university, taking us from South London to Ghana. Like Caleb's award-winning debut, Open Water, Small Worlds is a story centred on love, told in Caleb's richly poetic writing. It's about music, dancing, art, food, friendship, family and community, about the worlds and communities that we create to love and live in, and the spaces that make us feel like we belong. It's the most beautifully rhythmic novel, full of the heart that enriches every piece of art that Caleb creates. If you loved Open Water, you'll adore this, and if you haven't read Caleb's world yet, you are in for the biggest treat.
Join us on Monday 17th July at 7pm at Firmdale's Charlotte Street Hotel to hear from Caleb about his stunning second novel, Small Worlds.
