Book of the Month:

Good Material by Dolly Alderton

Prepare to be chuckling on the tube, tearing up in cafés, and finishing with a heart is so full you'll be bursting to share it with all your friends.

It follows comedian Andy, a thirty-something guy who is reeling from the unexpected break up from his long-term partner Jen. We follow him as he tries and fails to move on, making questionable decisions and trying his best to share how he's feeling with friends, family and strangers. It's a story we know all to well, but we so rarely hear from this perspective. Dolly's writing will pull at your heartstrings, and make you laugh and cry as you walk alongside Andy, Jen, Avi, Jane and this wonderful cast of characters.

If you've asked where all the rom coms from a man's perspective are and you loved Monica Heisey's Really Good Actually, and, of course, Dolly herself, you will love Good Material. It's full of Dolly's characteristic empathy and humour and is everything we hoped it would be!

Buy your copy of Good Material from BookBar and receive a free pair of exclusive BookBar X Good Material socks (while stocks last).
